Albert Canal - Hasselt. Monitoring of the Fishwinding of the Pump System and Hydroelectric power station.
The services include the investigation into the operation and effectiveness of the placed fishing (strob's coot lighting) at the height of the pump installation and hydroelectric power station in the upward building in Hasselt. This fishing swing must be fishing so that they do not go through the circumferential channel and the jacks at turbine action (from the upward building to the downstairs building). Investigation (2018, Tractebel and 2019, Institute for Nature and Forest Research) showed that the jacks in Turbine operation, cause damage to the fish. In pumping into pumping this is much less the case. Consequently, in pumping, fish from the downstairs building by the jacks are allowed up and through the circumferential channel to the upward building. It can be checked how the fishing effect works effectively and whether it must be improved if it must be improved if necessary (Addition of another system). In this way a possible adjustment can also be realized on other future projects (Diepenbeek / Genk) and on the projects already realized where no fishing swing has yet been placed (Ham / Olen).
