Tender Details

General Procurement Notice for Al Ghadir Wastewater Collectors and Networks.

The Lebanese Republic, through the Council for Development and Reconstruction
(CDR) intends to launch a project consisting in the expansion and upgrade of the
existing wastewater preliminary treatment plant located in Southern Beirut. The total
cost of the project is EUR 146, 500, 000, and will be co-financed by own resources
from the Government of Lebanon (EUR m 8.3), and in parallel co-financing with
the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB, EUR 69.5) and the European Investment
Bank (EIB, EUR m 68.5). The Project shall be implemented from 2019 to 2024.
The Project will improve sanitation for approximately 1 million inhabitants in the
area south of Beirut and consists of the following works:
1) Extension and upgrade of the existing Al Ghadir waste water treatment plant, totally financed by IsDB;
2) Construction of sewer networks including house connections totally financed by EIB.
