Airways core business is the safe and efficient provision of Air Traffic Management (ATM) services and associated aviation infrastructure services. Airways business is focused on delivering outstanding air navigation services in the New Zealand airspace and transforming great ideas into a portfolio of profitable businesses providing world class products and services.
Airways is undertaking a project to install copper and fibre optic communications cable, fibre optic micro-duct, and ducting for future airfield lighting and mains cable around the airfield at Wellington Airport.
The scope of this work includes the supply and installation of chambers, ducts, communications copper, fibre optic cable, flexibility points, optical distribution frames and specifies test acceptance criteria.
This installation is required to provide:
a) communications connections to the new Control Tower currently under construction
b) ducts for planned future airfield lighting and mains cable
c) capacity to install additional fibre optic cable in the future
