Air hygiene data platform Air pollution levels in Switzerland are monitored by various cantonal, municipal and national monitoring networks. Some cantons have joined together to form measurement networks (e.g. OSTLUFT, in-luft, Northwestern Switzerland). The requirements for data access and data exchange have changed. As a result, in recent years, under the leadership of the FOEN, a nationwide database (AIRDB) has been established for the central management of measurement data Air pollution levels developed. This database includes the data from the national monitoring network (NABEL) as well as the data from the cantonal and municipal monitoring networks. The AIRDB creates the technical requirements for a common data platform. The AIRDB is expected to go live in mid-2026. The existing ones on the AIRDB or The released data should be made accessible to the general public via a common air hygiene data platform for the cantons. The existing data platforms for Air hygiene data is also very heterogeneous in structure (extent of data, functions, type of provision, data format).
