Title:Agricultural reinsurance underwritingconsultancyReference No. :CR-1.14.1The Government ofMongolia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Index-Based Livestock InsuranceProject ("the Project"), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consultingservices ("the Services") include providing international professional expertise and options for refinement in the agriculturalreinsurance scheme and design and reviewof new agricultural reinsurance products.The Project is in transition into a company that was incorporated as apublic-private owned reinsurance company fully compliant with Mongolian and international insurance and reinsurancelegislation.
The mainobjective of this assignment is to assist the management of the newly formed reinsurance company in continuingthe currentindex-based livestock insurance program and introducing new agricultural reinsurance products by providing underwriting technicalassistance and advice.
The newagriculturalreinsurance products mainly focus on crop, agricultural machineries and equipment and vegetable, including potato.The ProjectImplementation Unit of the Project now invites eligible individuals ("Consultants") to indicate their interest in providing theServices. Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevantexperience to perform the Services.
The shortlisting criteria are as follows: A. a degree in non-life insurance or a related financial discipline;A. ten or more years working in the commercial international reinsurance industry, preferablywith senior management and administration experience and with agricultural reinsurance experience in the execution of thetechnicalunderwriting and agricultural insurance product design;A. experience in designing agricultural insurance products and drafting reinsurancedocumentation;A. experience oral and written skills in English.The attention ofinterested consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of theWorld Bank''''s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits u0026 Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January2011 ("ConsultantGuidelines"), setting forth the World Bank''''spolicy on conflict of interest.
