Tenders are invited for Aga Khan Agency is undertaking the hazard, vulnerability, and assessment (HVRA) for the valley, encompassing entire watersheds, and addressing various natural hazards including geological, climatic, hydrologic, cryosphere related hazards like GLOF (Glacial Lake Outburst Lake Flood) and Glaciers. The aim is to analyze the cascading and synergistic impacts of these hazards on downstream communities. To achieve the objective, AKAH is applying multiple methods, including field investigations, GIS, and remote sensing techniques(modeling) with expertise of geologist and GIS specialists to understand the level of the risk in the thematic valley. AKAH will share the findings with consultancy to verify and provide the report for further measurements.
