Description
Description of Supplies: The DHA, Navy Medicine Readiness Training Command San Diego has a need for the purchase of two Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF) systems. The ALIF systems that will be utilized for upcoming spinal implant surgeries that will take place at the NMRTC San Diego. The Aesculep, Inc. activL Active Disc Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF) spinal implant systems are the only commercial market ALIF system that meets the Government-s requirements based on the anatomy of the patient being treated and the required compatibility with existing instrumentation available within the hospital. Aesculap, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the activeL Artificial Disc ALIF systems. Due to the proprietary rights, Aesculap, Inc. is the manufacturer and distributor of the activeL Artificial Disc systems. The system or parts of the system are not sold and/or distributed by any other commercial entity.
Disclaimer: The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to sole source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses received will NOT be considered. The Justification and Approval shall be published after the award of this contract in accordance with FAR 5.301 - Synopses of Contract Awards.
