Aerial Retractable Refuel Probe (ARRP) Tool Sets
Background:
This is a Request for information (RFI) for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement.
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst NJ (NAWCADLKE) requires Aerial Retractable Refuel Probe (ARRP) Tool Sets.
Multiple requirements exists at the Organizational level of maintenance for specific tasking on the V-22 Osprey s ARRP which is used during in-flight refueling from a refueling aircraft. The ARRP consists of a probe on the end of retractable tubes and multiple other main components. Each component has unique maintenance efforts required to keep the ARRP functioning properly. Failure of the ARRP to function properly can result in fuel leakage. Both the Tool Set, Installation ARRP and the Tool Set, Seal Replacement ARRP perform the necessary organizational level of maintenance tasks on the ARRP. The ARRP Tool Sets are comprised of uniquely designed tools and specialty protection equipment that interface on various components of the ARRP during maintenance.
