Description
NASA Johnson Space Center (NASA JSC) plans to conduct an Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology (IT) Solutions (AEGIS) Industry Day in order to facilitate open communication with industry. The AEGIS Industry Day event will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CDT) at the NASA JSC Gilruth Recreation Center, in the Alamo Ballroom. One-on-one meetings with the requirements development team will be offered following Industry Day, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (CDT) and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, and, if necessary, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13.
CONTRACT DESCRIPTIONThe AEGIS contract is a follow-on to the NASA Integrated Communications Services (NICS) contract. AEGIS will continue to provide products and services to support Agency requirements for the Communications Program (CP). The CP provides mission critical data and voice services to connect Flight Projects to Space Communications and Network (SCaN) Tracking Networks and other resources, including Space Network (SN), Near Earth Network (NEN), Deep Space Network (DSN), Flight Dynamics Facility (FDF), Launch Complexes and satellite manufacturer and test facilities. CP s Mission Services directly support Human Space Flight (HSF) and the International Space Station (ISS), including in-country Russia IT services. NASA considers its IT communications infrastructure assets vital to its continuing success as the world leader in aeronautics, space exploration, and scientific research; and to advance NASA s mission to the moon and Mars.
