The advance notification concerns the new building of Migri, Helsinki's detention unit at Siltanitynkuja 1 B, Vantaa. Senaatti kinteistöt acts as the client and developer of the project. The goal of the project is to produce functionally efficient, safe and a transformable container that supports the user's functions and responds to possible international crisis situations in the future. The low-carbon goals and energy efficiency requirements of the Senate property are taken into account in the planning of the project. In the project the RTS environmental tool will be utilized and carbon footprint possibilities will be mapped in connection with further planning. The scope of the project is approximately 6600 brm2. The operation of Migri's Helsinki detention unit is based on the Detained Foreigners Act treatment and detention unit and the operation must meet the requirements of the law and regulations. The Finnish Immigration Service is responsible for maintaining the detention units and directing practical operations.
