Background The integration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle technologies has been converted into a strategic tool for the collection of spatial data, territorial monitoring and the development of environmental, agricultural and research projects. Within the framework of the Interinstitutional Collaboration Agreement signed between the Honduran Institute of Sciences, Technology and Innovation (IHCIETI), the Secretariat of Natural Resources and Environment (SERNA) and the National Institute of Forest Conservation, Protected Areas and Wildlife (ICF), the incorporation of technologies was established innovative measures to strengthen monitoring actions, environmental conservation, reforestation and sustainable management of natural resources. To support these efforts, the institutional need arises to generate accurate geospatial information on areas of interest and strengthen the technical capabilities of personnel through training, certification and licensing processes that allow the safe and legal operation of this equipment, in accordance with current aeronautical regulations in Honduras. 2.
