Synopsis : The 3Shealth Employee Benefit Plan Trusts Provide Benefits To 44, 000 Active Plan Members And 15, 000 Retirees Representing 80 Health Care Employers In Saskatchewan. The Employee Benefit Plan Trusts Include Four (4) Disability Income Plans, Group Life Insurance, Core Dental, Two (2) Extended Health Care And Enhanced Dental Plans, Out-Of-Scope Flexible Spending Plan, Retired Plan Member Life Insurance Benefit, And The Retiree Health And Dental Plan. Together, The Employee Benefit Plan Trusts Have Over $500M In Assets Under Management. The Trusts Are Governed By The Employee Benefit Plans Board Of Trustees, A Collectively Bargained Employee Benefit Plans Committee Composed Of Union And Management Representatives, And A Working Committee Composed Of Union Representatives. The Committees Make Recommendations To The Board Of Trustees Who Have The Ultimate Decision Making Authority And Fiduciary Responsibility For The Trusts. 3Shealth Is Appointed As The Administrator Of The Employee Benefit Plan Trusts By The Board Of Trustees.3Shealth`s Intention Is To Establish A Long Term Relationship (S) For Actuarial And/Or Benefit Consulting Services By Awarding An Initial Contract For A Term Of Three (3) Years.   With The Option To Renew The Terms For Up To Nine (9) Years With Consecutive Two (2) Year Renewals By Providing The Proponent Notice Before The End Of The Current Term And Upon Mutual Agreement.The Successful Proponent Acknowledges And Agrees That 3Shealth Is Not Obligated To Enter Into Any Subsequent Agreements Or Retain The Successful Proponent For Any Subsequent Term.3Shealth, At Its Own Discretion, Reserves The Right To Pursue Selected Firms For Any Other Projects That Can Meet The Best Interest Of The Employee Benefit Plan Trusts.
