The contract includes construction planning and construction to the extent specified in the request for tender and its attached documents. the second part of the Vt 12 Mankala-Tillolla project between Mankala and Jokue will be implemented. The project area is located on the busy highway 12 between Lahti and Kouvola, which is a nationally and internationally important transverse connection. Valtatie 12 is an important part of Finland's main road network (service level I) and it belongs to the TEN T comprehensive network. It serves national east-west traffic and is an important connection for business transport. The contract includes improvement of highway 12 in the area of Iiti municipality, between Mankala and Jokue. The highway will be improved partly on the current site and partly on undeveloped terrain. The new road alignment separates from the current road on the east side of Mankala and crosses On the new bridge of the Lahti-Kouvola railway. The new road alignment is connected to the current road at Halkkorventie. The relationship between Halkkorvi and Jokue remains mostly unchanged. The contract is a total price-based design and implement contract (ST contract). The content of the contract is described in more detail in the tender documents.
