Acquisition of a transportable optical frequency comb
Purpose: The purpose of this contract is the acquisition of a transportable optical frequency comb. This system will be integrated into the REFIMEVE research infrastructure, which provides an ultra-stable optical frequency reference, and will be used in synergy with the ongoing Yb transportable clock of development. The scientific objective is in particular to carry out advanced experiments in time-frequency metrology and chronometric geodesy, including campaigns on sites of geodetic interest such as the tide gauges of Marseille, Brest, Dunkirk, as well as other sites in Europe. The contract covers the purchase, delivery, installation, commissioning, technical support and warranty of the optical frequency comb. The Temps-Espace Laboratory (LTE), recipient of the purchase, has the mission of acquiring, preparing, testing and making available a comb of transportable optical frequencies, intended for shared use by several laboratories in the Ile-de-France region.
