Domestic literature Foreign literature The public libraries of the municipalities committed to the cooperation agreement of Pirkanmaa libraries (PIKI libraries) are in a situation where contracts for the purchase of printed literature are about to expire, and a new tender is topical. The common will of the municipalities is to tender the purchase of printed literature as a joint procurement ring for PIKI libraries. The city of Tampere is preparing the purchase in accordance with the PIKI libraries cooperation agreement. Domestic literature is literature in Finnish and/or published in Finland (in other languages). In domestic literature, in addition to general literature, the offer must include a wide selection of public organizations, various companies and associations and other small and production by self-publishers. In addition, domestic sheet music and maps must be offered. Foreign literature is literature other than Finnish and published in Finland. In foreign literature, the offer must be sufficiently broad and versatile. If desired, the subscriber has the right to acquire foreign sheet music and maps through the contract.
