​In response to recovery efforts following Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and earthquake events, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allocated funds to the Government of Puerto Rico under the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program and Community Development Block Grant for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Program to address disaster recovery by long-term disasters. The Puerto Rico Department of Housing (Vivienda) was designated by the Government of Puerto Rico as administrator of this allocation. These funds will be used on activities that increase disaster resilience and reduce or eliminate the long-term risk of loss of life, injury, damage and loss of property, and suffering and hardship, by lessening the impact of future disasters.Vivienda is issuing this Sealed Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the acquisition of Construction Services for the allocation of the Community Development Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) and its special allocations, or any other future allocation of funds. The selected individual or legal entity will be Directly responsible for ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completion of all tasks assigned pursuant to the tender award. The IFB process is designed to promote fair and open competition while seeking a cost-competitive option. The IFB package must be downloaded from the CDBG-DR Program electronic purchasing website www.cdbg-dr.pr.gov, in the "Procurements" section.
