The subject of procurement is computed tomography equipment for the Imaging and Hospital Physiology unit of the Satakunta welfare area. The place of use of the device is the imaging of Satasairaila. The experts from the imaging unit got to know the purpose of use to the available available equipment in autumn 2025 and spring 2026. Based on the familiarization, it was concluded that the equipment based on photon computing best meets the needs. This technology brings significant improvements in image quality in particular. Now the benefits of the intended use of the device being purchased, especially in coronary imaging, are considerable. Currently, only one supplier has the CE marking for equipment based on photon counting.
