Acquisition and operation of mobile PFAS treatment stations in water intended for human consumption The purpose of the envisaged contract is the acquisition and operation of mobile stations for the treatment of PFAS in water intended for human consumption. Between 2023 and 2024, ARS Grand Est carried out exploratory analysis campaigns for perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in water intended for human consumption. Compliance with a limit of 0.1 µg/l at the tap of the consumer for the sum of 20 PFAS analyzed has been required since January 2023. A health control was deployed from 2025 in the Grand Est Region in anticipation of the obligation to control, from 2026, PFAS in water intended for consumption human. However, contamination has been highlighted in several resources in the Grand Est, leading to restrictions on water consumption for residents. While waiting for a lasting solution, the communities concerned are providing bottled water to the population, which represents a significant expense for rural communities. In this context, the Grand Est Region wishes to acquire mobile treatment stations in order to support communities facing this situation, time to identify a lasting solution to pollution.
