As part of the assessment of the fixed population alarm system, Pelastusopisto orders from an external producer the modeling of the audibility of the population alarm sirens in accordance with the CNOSSOS-EU noise assessment standard. Acoustic modeling is compared to the wider one produced by the project, theoretical coverage of alarms and coverage mapping based on visibility modeling. Based on this information, in its final report, the project compares mapping and modeling as methods for assessing the coverage of population alarms. In addition the project reporting describes the basic information needed to carry out the mapping or modeling, as well as the resulting costs and other factors.
