Transport Canada (TC) has a requirement for a Contractor to conduct a noise measurement campaign to quantify and compare the underwater radiated noise (URN) signatures between electric and conventional diesel tugs. Additionally, through the noise measurement campaign, TC seeks to generate data that can inform future vessel design specifications and support research and development (R&D) initiatives in low-noise marine technologies. The contractor will carry out a detailed measurement campaign to compare the underwater radiated noise of a battery-electric tug and a conventional diesel tug. Work must commence as of contract award and, be completed by March 31st, 2026. DEBRIEFINGS: Bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation process. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within 15 working days of receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
