Synopsis: INTENTION SaskTel intends to contract with Canadian Dewatering LP on the basis that they are the only supplier able to provide the lakebed fibre optic placement that meets SaskTel-s requirements for this procurement, as described below. CONTRACT DETAILS Estimated Start Date: July 12, 2022 Estimated Completion Date: August 6, 2022 This is time sensitive based on the requirements set out by the Ministry of Environment Total Anticipated Price: Approximately $157, 000.00. SCOPE OF WORK SaskTel is looking to expand broadband service to North Saskatchewan communities. To reach these communities, fibre optic cable must be deployed by means of underwater placement. The project scope includes: Laying approximately 14 Km of 48 fibre across Lac La Loche using a barge to float out the cables. We will require a barge large enough to handle 3 reels of fibre, two large hydraulic cable dolly-s and a splicing trailer along with splicing crew. A crane is required to complete the building of the barge along with loading and offloading the required equipment. Divers will need to be supplied to preform underwater work.
