This is a pre-solicitation notice.
Purpose: the nashville district u.s. Army corps of engineers (usace) intends to issue a request for quote (rfq) solicitation for rental services of a 90-ton rough terrain crane for utilization on the u.s. Army corps of engineers shop barge nd-40.
This notice is being issued for planning and informational purposes only. This notice is not a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. The government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice, nor will the government accept quotes as a result of this notice.
Project description: usace anticipates a base with one (1) option; firm fixed-price service contract for crane rental.
1) base: the rental crane will be positioned on the u.s. Army corps of engineers shop barge nd-40 for the duration of the rental period and will travel by water to various facilities within the district during the repair season (15 march - 15 november) and will be docked at usace navigational facilities along the cumberland and tennessee river during the off-season (15 november - 15 march). The equipment will be operated, tested, and maintained by trained, certified, licensed, and designated, usace nashville district employees. The required equipment shall consist of a rough terrain crane with a nominal land based capacity of 90 tons and 142' 5" or more feet of boom and be in accordance with the solicitation.
Options:
1) option 1: extends the period of performance by 365 calendar days.
