This assignment concerns the demolition and reconstruction of the Jewish Museum of Belgium in Brussels. This assignment consists of two parts: a fixed part and a conditional part: fixed part: transformation of the museum This part exists in the demolition of the entire building on the Miniemenstraat 21 in Brussels and in its reconstruction. The facade must be retained and restored. The aim of this transformation is to meet the new requirements in the field of programming and use, and to give the Jewish Museum of Belgium a new look from National and International point of view. The main building is being demolished, with the exception of the facade, which is preserved and is restored to the cornice. A new volume is being built on the plot that matches this facade. The new building on the Miniemenstraat has six floors and an underground floor. The building at the back of the plot, the NEC, will undergo two interventions at the height of the Samaritanessestraat. The first procedure is the integration of a high -voltage cabin to power the new museum. The second concerns the creation of an escape route for the Polyvalent room (room on the underground floor on the Miniemenstraat) in the event of a fire.
