Statement of WorkKitchen Equipment Needs for Kitchen Renovation & Implementation of Room Service at the Syracuse VAMCMay 2024GENERAL INFORMATION Title of Project: Kitchen Equipment Needs for Kitchen Renovation & Implementation of Room Service at the Syracuse VA Medical CenterType of Contract Contemplated: Firm/FixedThis is a brand name or equal procurement. If responding to this request, please provide the brand name or equal kitchen equipment that will be provided. Also note that the chef table must be custom made to meet the precise specification provided.SCOPE The scope of this contract is to procure and install all the necessary commercial kitchen equipment to transition the Syracuse VA Medical Center s Nutrition and Food Services (NFS) operation to Room Service. Room Service is the gold-standard and Veteran-centric, allowing Veterans to order what they want to eat, when they feel hungry, and food is prepared to order. The Syracuse VA s main NFS kitchen will undergo a renovation (project number 528A7-18-716 Renovate Main Kitchen). Implementation of Room Service will be timed with the completion of the renovation project to include installation of all the necessary equipment to be procured under this contract. Vendor to coordinate delivery and/or installation of equipment with Syracuse VAMC POC as some items can be received right away and others need to be timed with the kitchen renovation project phasing.Contractor will provide all material, labor, equipment and services required to execute and complete all items of work relating to the food service equipment, both existing and new, all as required to make the resulting facility a fully functional and reliable operating unit in accordance with this specification.
