Test orders and projects are defined by your customers and scheduled. This particularly concerns the following service orders: * Manual testing * Test management * Test automation * Load and performance testing * Security testing * Taking over entire testing projects * Creation of test concepts and scripts * (Accessibility / Usability Tests) The product development of software applications in the BIT is usually implemented according to agile principles/agile methodology. The product owner and the technical expertise required for the project are provided by Client (federal government) provided. The product teams work according to Scrum and are organized into DevOps teams. Depending on the project, some of the product team employees, including Scrum Masters, developers and testers, are sourced externally. The Software Developers in Test (SDETs or test automation engineers) are responsible for development-related test automation and integration into the development pipeline to achieve Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
