BC Transit is a Crown Corporation of the province of British Columbia responsible for coordinating the delivery of transit services in the province outside the Metro Vancouver area. Its mandate includes marketing, planning, funding, constructing and operating, either directly or indirectly, in over 130 communities throughout the province. As a Crown Corporation, BC Transit is subject to the provisions of the BC Government Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA). BC Transit-s Privacy, Information Management and Access team is responsible for meeting our legislative obligations under FOIPPA. The Privacy, Information Management and Access team requires additional support on an as and when needed basis to manage the volume and complexity of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and Privacy needs including, but not limited to, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), requirements development, submission evaluation, and breach and incident response.
