In July 2020, the cabinet decision was ratified to move the Marine Corps from the marine barracks in Doorn to Camp Nieuw-Milligen in the municipality of Apeldoorn.
The aim of the project is to realize a new navybarracks for the operational units of the Marine Corps.
The project will be put out to tender by means of a DBFMO agreement.
This DBFMO agreement mainly includes the design, construction, supply of facility services, supply of resources, provision of facilities, maintenanceuden and financing of the barracks. The barracks will be built on the existing barracks Kamp Nieuw-Milligen with the address Meervelderweg 19 in Uddel, municipality of Apeldoorn.
