D2. SCOPE OF WORKD2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of renewal of water mains on Ashford Drive, Cloverdale Crescent, Herbert Avenue, McCalman Avenue, Foster Street, and installation of new water mains on Chester Street, all within the City of WinnipegD2.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:(a) Installation of Approximately 1, 720m of 150mm - 200mm diameter PVC water main pipe by trenchless methods;(b) Abandonment of existing water mains as required;(c) Removal/abandonment of existing hydrant assemblies and gate valves as required;(d) Installation of valves and hydrant assemblies;(e) Reconnection or renewal of water services connections; and(f) Restoration of pavement and boulevard areas.D2.3 The following shall apply to the Work:(a) Universal Design Policyhttp://clkapps.winnipeg.ca/DMIS/DocExt/ViewDoc.asp?DocumentTypeId=2&DocId=3604
