This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Utilities Kingston to prospective proponents to submit proposals for 2026 Vegetation Management, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).
The line clearing work involves the cutting and removal of tree growth in front and rear lots to provide adequate clearance from high voltage distribution circuits and service conductors of the electrical distribution system (including auxiliary equipment) within the electrical service territory of Kingston Hydro electrical distribution system as outlined in Appendix C.
Recognized arboricultural practices shall be employed by the Contractor in the performance of the work involved, such that the health and appearance of trees will be maintained at a level consistent with existing conditions.
It is the intent to obtain clearance between trees and distribution circuits such that continuity of service may be assured and the public be protected against hazards due to trees interfering with overhead lines.
