[The services requested under this Request for Proposals are for the provision of refuse removal and site cleanup services on municipal lands within the Municipality of North Cowichan. These services may include the removal and disposal of discarded materials and debris from temporary shelter sites, informal encampments of unhoused individuals, or other locations where waste accumulation has occurred. Work may be undertaken in support of municipal encampment response activities, to address public safety or environmental concerns, or in response to community reports regarding unsightly or hazardous conditions. Services may be requested by the Municipality-s Bylaw and Protective Services Department and may include the collection, transportation, and appropriate disposal of a variety of materials.
