The project includes the establishment of a new reserve water main over Namsen for increased safety in water supply in the municipality. The new water main is to be connected to the existing VL315 at Øysletta and led across Namsen to the existing VL315 at Bertnem. The crossing of the Namsen is planned to be carried out with controlled drilling. In addition to two new water basins on the stretch, it is planned that existing water sumps at the connection points to existing water mains must be replaced with new sumps. The start of the contract is estimated at approx. 1 October, with expected completion in spring 2027.
