The purpose of the acquisition is to renovate the Gulf of Vaikila. Vailanlahti (Vasarlanlahti) is a protected Natura 2000 area and a protected private nature reserve that has deteriorated as a result of overgrowth and solids accumulation. Extensive dredging of the open water surface is carried out in the renovationto increase and improve the circulation of water and create sheltered dining and breeding places for birds. Lamps are dug in the area, built nesting islands and two landing pools are established. The dredging material is utilized in the implementation of the nesting islands and the bench path and some is dumpedfield ditches and fields as a soil healing agent. The soil of the landing pools is utilized in the implementation of the bench path and dumped into field ditches. The aim of the renovation measures is to achieve a lot of open water surface and to improve the living conditions of wetland birds such as laughter.Open water surfaces and slightly higher areas of the area to be carried out in the area serve as dining and rest areas for water and wetland birds.
