Douglas County Project 2025-B1 consists of removing an existing 22 ft Reinforced Concrete Slab Simple Span (RCSS), construct a 24--32--24- Reinforced Concrete Haunched Slab (RCHS) Bridge. Items include Contractor Staking, Clearing & Grubbing, Grading, Steel Piling, Resteel, Structural Concrete, Concrete Pavement (10”), Rip Rap, Aggregate Base (AB-3), HMA Base, HMA Surface, Aggregate Shoulder (AB-3), Temporary Erosion Control, Seeding, and Traffic Control.
Project 2025-B1 is located on N1800 Road between E1100 and E1150 Roads approximately 2 miles north of Lawrence, KS.
This project has a 2026 or 2027 construction option. The 2026 anticipated early Notice to Proceed is April 6, 2026, the late Notice to Proceed is June 1, 2026. The 2027 anticipated early Notice to Proceed is March 1, 2027, the late Notice to Proceed is June 1, 2027. This project has 130 Working Days to complete to open traffic. There are no Clean Up Days associated with this project.
