SRE intends to move the current KLM freight buildings 13 to create space for the further development of Schiphol Center. As a replacement, SRE is building a new cargo terminal for KLM at Schiphol East. It is modern and sustainable cargo building with a size of approximately 70, 000 to 80, 000 m², designed to optimally support KLM's cargo operations for the long term. The design emphatically places functionality above aesthetics, in keeping with the logistical nature of the project freight building. The Assignment concerns the architectural and constructional elaboration from the SO (Sketch Design) based on the Program of Requirements (hereinafter referred to as PvE) and Conceptual Design, drawn up in collaboration with the future tenant, up to and including integral tender-ready design (TO) including specifications. The building's floor areas will be between 70, 000 and 80, 000 m2. The activities also include: • Facilitating the acquisition and promotion of a positive outcome decision-making by both client and tenant with regard to phase completion and design proposals; • Design coordination in the consultant team; • Involvement during the construction phase up to and including delivery and aftercare; • Availability to accommodate changes in the implement design; • Design within the frameworks: at least BREEAM excellent, further specified in the Program of Requirements; • Connection of the building to the layout of the site area to be built on; • Taking care of the aesthetics construction supervision; • Support for management and supervision; • The contractor produces and checks the working drawings for the implementation together with the other consultants; • The safety and security concept is included, if applicable formulated in consultation with SRE.
