The framework agreement will help to strengthen the Armed Forces' operational capability and preparedness through increased capacity for maintenance and upgrading services and associated Engineering support by providing the Armed Forces access to such services in peace, crisis, conflict and war. Assignments shall enter into a framework agreement for the provision of ship technical maintenance services, repairs, upgrades, modifications and engineering support for the specified vessels below. The purpose of procurement is to maintain technical availability for the specified vessels. The framework agreement under this procurement serves as a supplement to the Armed Forces' internal capacity for its own herds and workshops as well as existing framework agreements.
