Description: The subject of the construction work is the two -track expansion of the tram route on line 5 from the Central Cemetery stop via the Plachelhofstraße stops and Maut Puntigam to the brewing district stop. On the 1, 370 m long route, the existing single -track system will be broken off in the course of the expansion and both tracks are rebuilt. In the Plachelhofstraße and Maut Puntigam stop as well as in the area of the Puntigam Mauthaus, a superstructure with a vibration insulation and concrete ceiling is intended. The free route is carried out as a non -accessible lawn track with groove rails and a high -rise vegetation street as well as its own irrigation system. Appropriate passenger elevator systems are being built in the Plachelhofstrasse and Maut Puntigam stop areas for barrier-free access. planned construction start: 17.10.2022
