Tender Details

Following the modification of ICAO standards requiring 100% searches of non-passengers accessing restricted areas, Transport Canada will put into force, as of April 1, 2026, regulations requiring full screening of non-passengers and of their personal belongings at checkpoints located inside and outside the terminal. This measure, implemented by CATSA, requires adaptation of existing infrastructure. However, the T1878 corridor does not make it possible to integrate all equipment required to ensure compliance. In order to meet this requirement, an expansion of the non-passenger screening area is envisaged, using rooms T1870C, T1872 and T1874, located to the east of the corridor leading to the room at domestic and international baggage from the Montreal-Trudeau international airport. These spaces will allow the installation of screening equipment that complies with CATSA standards, better fluidity of operations and reduction of waiting times and compliance with regulatory requirements before the deadline.
