There have been ongoing thermal comfort complaints in five offices, with reported summer temperatures exceeding 30 °C even with blinds closed, and uncomfortably cold conditions during the winter. The purpose of this project is to investigate the root causes of these issues and to design appropriate HVAC modifications to ensure the affected offices meet acceptable thermal comfort standards year‑round. The Consultant shall conduct a comprehensive site investigation to confirm existing site conditions and the accuracy of current drawings, review the HVAC system serving the affected offices, and perform heat load calculations to verify heating and cooling requirements and system capacity. Based on this assessment, the Consultant shall develop design solutions to address identified deficiencies.The preliminary scope of work - pending Consultant validation - includes the installation of new return air grilles, thermostats, and VAV boxes; inspection and replacement of undersized return air transfer ducts as required; and review of all associated HVAC components. All new equipment shall be fully integrated into the existing Building Automation System (BAS), with updated controls and sequences of operation, and all work shall comply with applicable codes and standards.
