Description : The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry, on behalf of the State Workers' Insurance Fund (SWIF), issues this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to procure professional, on-demand Non-Emergency Business Transport Services.Ambulatory transport refers to the movement of personnel with disabilities who are medically unable to safely operate a motor vehicle, may have the capacity to walk, and do not require the transport of a wheelchair or motorized scooter.Non-Ambulatory transport refers to the movement of personnel with disabilities who are medically unable to safely operate a motor vehicle and who require the assistance of a lift or other mechanical mechanism to ensure safe transport of the individual and their wheelchair or motorized scooter. Transport vehicle(s) must be equipped with a wheelchair ramp and/or lift and tie-downs when requested by the individual.This IFB seeks qualified independent contractors to provide safe, reliable ambulatory and non- ambulatory transportation services. These services include transport for individuals able to walk without mobility equipment as well as those requiring wheelchairs or scooter accessible vehicles equipped with ramps, lifts, and securement systems.
