The assignment described in this tendering procedure is about the realization of the renewal of the Central Library at Hoogstraat 110 in the municipality of Rotterdam.
The work exists in the main issues
1. Remove asbestos and chrome pollution
2. Demolition work load pit and part hull
3. Expand basement bin for bicycle shed with tapis roulant
4. Self -supporting glass waterfall facade
5. Application and installation of revised and new escalators
6. Building new facade with frames, doors and windows
7. Build new inner walls
8. New interior design with high -quality custom furniture
9. New installations to be installed with WKO
10. Current cables and pipes and move transformers
11. Green roofs
The field of activity and the immediate vicinity is located in the inner -city area with all associated facilities such as homes (including high -rise), shops, schools, a Weekly large -scale market on Binnenrotte and Hoogstraat, public transport (buses, trams, underground train station, taxis), many traffic movements (trucks, passenger cars, cyclists, pedestrians) and internationally visited tourist attractions (Kubuswoningen, Markthal).
In addition Is the plan area within the sphere of influence of the ProRail railway tunnel with associated restrictions to the area activity.
A further restriction is to keep the neighborhood transformer in the library building and other (underground) utilities located within this plan area.
