Description
PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order with Gentueri, Inc. (Verona, WI) for the purpose of procuring custom multi-barrier envelopes. The Gentueri custom multi-barrier envelopes are already utilized in the FBI Laboratories. The purchase of these custom, clear on the long side, envelopes will allow the FDDU to keep pace with the high amount and potential increase of samples requiring analysis and storage. The FDDU requires a specific custom size of these envelopes in order to allow for efficient storage space in the FDDU-s Lektriever systems. The FDDU currently has an urgent immediate need for these specific envelopes, due to the increasing receipt of the type of DNA that must be stored in the custom envelopes, which caused the stock of envelopes to decrease exponentially. Gentueri is offering the multi-barrier pouch at a fair and reasonable price and can produce the envelope with a shorter lead time, thus saving the FDDU a substantial amount of money and time compared to previous pouches used. Therefore, the recommended source for the purchase of the Custom Multi-barrier Envelopes is Gentueri.
Market research and testing was conducted and while other vendors may provide similar products, only Genteuri has already developed the custom product and has the ability to provide the envelopes in a timely manner. The Gentueri custom envelopes have been tested and have proven to meet the current high volume need of the FDDU, thus saving the FDDU time and a substantial amount of money compared to previous pouches used.
