Tender Details

Ted Burge Sportsground is a large park located in Merrylands, 2160. It is bound by Centenary Rd, Fairmount St, Richmond St and Hollywood St. It houses two soccer fields, three netball courts, two cricket nets and accommodates soccer & netball in winter and cricket & softball in the summer seasons. It is a heavily used facility and currently home to the Wenty Waratahs sports club.


The sportsground has 3 separate areas (Field 1, Field 2 and Netball and cricket courts); and a lack of toilet amenities to services the needs for the Netball and cricket areas. The only toilet facilities available area located at the far Northern end of the park.


The proposed construction works does not require a DA. Part 3, Division 12 of the State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP Infrastructure) 2007, permits these improvement works to be carried out by Council without Development Consent.


The proposed amenities facility includes the following:


1. Two (2) accessible unisex cubicles


2. Storeroom


3. Service duct
