More specifically, UNDP has been developing since 2008 the National Survey of Public Opinion "Audit of Democracy". Its objective is to be a barometer of national public opinion, principallyIn terms of levels of support for Chilean democracy and the way in which citizens evaluate different aspects of it, such as institutionality, governance and political and citizen participation, the four previous versions (2008, 2010, 2012 and 2016) served as an input for the various initiatives that UNDP carries out in Chile.One of these is the "Audit of Democracy" Report. More and better democracy for an inclusive Chile "that UNDP launched in May 2014. This report focuses on assessing the quality of democracy and its institutions from a broad perspective. It is a diagnosis and an evaluation developed from the approach and methodology developed by UNDPand International IDEA at a global and regional level.
