This special notice is prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 5.2- Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. The contracting office for this notice is the 10th Contracting Squadron, USAF Academy, CO 80840.
The US Air Force Academy (USAFA) intends to award on a Sole Source basis under the authority of FAR 13.501(a) to Daktronics, Inc. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order processed in accordance with (IAW) FAR 12 and 13.5. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 339950 and the small business size standard is 500 employees.

USAFA/AD also has Daktronics LED Scoretables, and Daktronics fixed digit scoreboards and shot clocks that will remain in Clune Arena after the new system is purchased. This existing equipment requires Daktronics software and controllers to function, thus the new LED boards will also need to be Daktronics to be properly integrated with the current system.Daktronics is the only known source that can meet the Governments requirements. Therefore, the contracting officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem on...
