Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP): traffic signal replacement



this contract is for the supply of all labour, materials and equipment and incidentals necessary for the removal of existing traffic signals and installation of new city supplied traffic signals and associated hardware at the intersections indicated on the drawings. work under this contract includes but is not limited to traffic signal equipment upgrades and detection upgrades at the euston street/pownal street/spring park road intersection as well as traffic signal equipment upgrades at the kent street/great george street intersection, and the kent street/prince street intersection in the city of charlottetown.



the traffic signals equipment, including the traffic controllers, poles, arms, signal heads, signage, and all associated hardware will be provided by the city. all other materials necessary to complete the installation will be the responsibility of the contractor.



it is the responsibility of the contractor to completely understand all the materials, equipment and other resources required to complete all work governed by this contract.



without in any way limiting the work, the following outlines the materials and services to be provided by the contractor related to the traffic signal and detection upgrades.



all electrical work shall be performed in accordance with the canadian electrical code standards (latest revision).



the contractor shall have imsa traffic signal level ii certification.



all amendments to the associated notice, including amended documents, plans and specifications (where applicable), are issued by the originator of the notice. merx asks you to contact the buying agency directly for these amendments. merx stipulates that potential bidders may also be required to register with the buying authority as a bidder/plan taker. the contact information can be found within the main tender document and/or on this notice abstract.
