Description: As part of the "free WiFi for passengers" project, the technical network must be adapted to the project requirements and further developed. In future, passengers should have continuous and free access to the Internet in buses, light rail vehicles and at the stops of the ÜSTRA in Greater Hanover (GVH). In order to achieve this or to create redundancy and higher bandwidths, other active network components (IT hardware and accessories) should be integrated into the existing network structure of the ÜSTRA. The aim of this tender is therefore the procurement / delivery of the hardware and accessories specified in the service description.

Since the components must be replaced during operation, full support for the redundancy protocol used is a prerequisite. Since this protocol is used exclusively by Extreme Networks, alternatives are excluded.
