Three Runway System Project Sub-Contract 3508/Nsc/001/Pa - Supply and Installation of Public Address Core System for Terminal 2 Expansion; Sub-Contract 3408/Nsc/001/Pa - Supply and Installation of Public Address Core System for Third Runway Concourse (Sub-Contract 3508/Nsc/001/Pa and Sub-Contract 3408/Nsc/001/Pa)

Description : The Airport Authority Hong Kong (the "Authority") is undertaking to expand the existing two runway system at Hong Kong International Airport into a three runway system (3RS). This will include, among other things, development of the Terminal 2 Expansion (T2E) and construction of the Third Runway Concourse (TRC). The Authority hereby invites sub-contract tenders on behalf of the main contractors for Contract 3508 - Terminal 2 Expansion Works and Contract 3408 - Third Runway Concourse and Apron Works (the "Main Works") for the supply and installation of Public Address Core Systems for T2E and TRC (the "Sub-contract Works"). The respective contractor of the Main Works (the "Contractor") will ultimately take up the responsibility for delivering and completing the Sub-contract Works as part of the Main Works. Accordingly, the successful tenderer for these two sub-contracts will initially be named in the tender documents for the Main Works as "named sub-contractor" for the Sub-contract Works and ultimately required to enter into a domestic sub-contract with the Contractor after the award of the Main Works contract.The successful tenderer will be required to sign an Intial Agreement (Contract 3921) with the Authority for performing certain pre-contract services and undertaking other tender obligations. A nominal fee will be payable to the successful tenderer for such services and undertakings under the Initial Agreement. The Authority hereby invites tenders from organisations with PROVEN EXPERIENCE and the CAPABILITY to design, supply and install the Sub-contract Works. Suitable Sub-contractors should be experienced in similar specialist systems works and will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience and ability in undertaking similar system works.Tenderers who wish to express their interest in tendering for the above Sub-contracts should forward their name and address, together with the name, position and e-mail address of their contact person to Mr. Kevin Poole, Executive Director, Third Runway by e-mail to AATender.PD1@hkairport.com.Tenders for the Sub-contract Works shall be submitted to the Authority s Tender Box at the lower ground floor lobby of HKIA Tower no later than 16:30 (Hong Kong time) on Thursday, 25 July 2019.The Authority will evaluate all tenders using the information to be provided by the tenderer in the completed Tender Submission and name the tenderer for the Sub-contract Works at its sole discretion.All costs associated with any submission in response to this notice shall be ent...
