Description : Miljødirektoratet [the Norwegian Environment Agency], by virtue of its national coordination function for environmental data, has identified a need for a systematic elucidation of alternative solutions for national environmental data infrastructures that are in accordance with the FAIR principles and aiming for ‘high quality, open and free environmental database- (KLD''s [the Ministry of Climate and Environment] digitalisation strategy for the environmental sector 2020-2024). The main purpose of the elucidation is to ensure increased sharing of high-quality data in the environmental sector and respond to the prioritisation given in Miljødirektoratet''s [the Norwegian Environment Agency] award letter on the future environmental data and assignments from KLD [the Ministry of Climate and Environment] in supplementary award letters (see the project description).
