Tender Details

Request for tender for researcher/co-ordinator to co-ordinate a cross border exchange program funded under the cavan peace iv programme. This program is to record and archive rural life over the period of the last 75 years with special emphasis on traditional skills, storytelling and social interaction with a view to creating life time cross community connections and friendships. The successful candidate will be based in the virginia show centre, virginia, co. Cavan for approximately 11 months. The objective of the project is to develop the use of media for archiving traditional skills and storytelling. The successful tenderer will research and record the experiences of rural communities in both cavan and down and co-ordinate and arrange events with the show societies and men's sheds in both virginia and rostrevor. This project has been supported by the eu's peace iv programme, managed by the special eu programmes body.
