Description : FAO is urgently seeking offers from companies who are able to supply three (3) rotary-wing aircrafts (helicopters) and all related logistics support to carry out locust survey and control (spraying) operations in Kenya. It is envisaged that the helicopters might be based in Isiolo, Wajir, Marsabit and Kabarnet. Two (2) helicopters will be for surveying and one (1) for spraying:Aerial survey will be required minimum sixty (60 ) hours per month per helicopter for two (2) months with possible extension. Control operations (spraying) will be required for sixty (60 ) hours per month for two (2) months with possible extension. Bidders may submit offers for one or more helicopters. The helicopter(s) shall be operational within 2 weeks of award notice. Companies` registration on the United Global Marketplace portal (UNGM) is a mandatory requirement to participate in this tender as the procurement process is carried out exclusively on the UNGM portal.
